Recently, Vitro architectural glass officially launched EcoArmor Protective Topcoat (EcoArmor Protective Coating), an innovative full-surface protective coating specifically designed for the Solarban series of solar control low-emissivity glass. This coating provides long-lasting protection throughout the entire process of glass transportation, storage, and processing, redefining the standards for high-performance architectural glass processing with its no-remove, high-efficiency, and environmentally friendly features.

EcoArmor protective topcoat delivers full-process integrated protection, eliminating the need for additional film coating, time-consuming removal steps, and generating no waste or disposal costs. This coating can be applied during the tempering process alongside the glass, significantly streamlining the production workflow and delivering stable performance enhancements in demanding manufacturing environments. Currently, this technology has been first implemented in Solarban 90 glass. Practical mass production tests demonstrate that EcoArmor helps processors reduce tempering cycles by 10%–20%, effectively minimizing roller wave distortion. For glass pre-treated at edges before tempering, edge curl issues are reduced by 33%.

This topcoat is compatible with standard manufacturing processes such as glass cutting, edging, and cleaning.
